International Women of the Year for the Environment Award
An award that brings visibility to women who protect nature despite structural, cultural, legal and economic barriers, and whose work leaves a lasting mark on local communities.

- Recognise women whose conservation work is rarely told.
- Record and share successful community-based conservation.
- Connect women activists with researchers, media and supporting institutions.
- Inspire a new generation, especially girls and students.

Who can be nominated
Nomination is open to Iranian and non-Iranian women. Women may nominate themselves or be nominated by an organisation. Each nominee chooses one category.
How to nominate
- Fill in the nomination form (self-nomination or nomination by an organisation).
- Upload scientific, social, field and other supporting documents.
- If possible, attach at least two letters of recommendation.
- Accept the undertaking and keep your tracking number.
- The secretariat and the jury review the documents; results are announced on the winners page.
The nomination form is in Persian. Answers may be written in English, and documents may be in English.
